I tried making hummus many times but could never get it smooth. I recently tried a different brand of garbanzo beans and it was finally smooth. So if your hummus is too chunky, try a different brand of beans.
Ingredients
2 cans (15oz cans) cooked garbanzo beans*
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons sea salt
1/2 cup raw tahini (or 1/3 cup non-raw tahini)
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
4 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup water
Directions
Place all ingredients except the water in a food processor. Process until well combined. Add water. Process until smooth. Enjoy!
*Use BPA free cans if possible.
