Joe Cross’ 3-Day Weekend Juice Cleanse

I followed the following cleanse which includes one dinner each day made up of vegetables.

I chose 3 days where I wasn’t busy and could focus on my detox.  For me this meant doing it on a weekend.  I bought all my produce on a Thursday.  I cleaned the produce and put them in bags so they were ready to freshly juice.

I made each juice right before drinking it to maximize nutrient value. Since I was juicing every 2-3 hours, I cleaned my juicer once a day in the evening.

The cost for the produce was approximately $160 USD for 2 people for 3 days. About half was organic.

Breakfast juice for 2 people – Carrot Apple Ginger Juice: 6 carrots, 4 apples and 2″ ginger.
Yields approx 3 cups total.

Mid-morning juice for 2 people – Mean Green Juice: 2 cucumbers, 8 celery stalks, 4 apples, 16 kale leaves, 1 lemon and 2″ ginger.
Yields approximately 6 cups total.

Lunch juice for 2 people – Gazpacho Juice: 8 plum tomatoes, 2 cucumbers, 4 celery stalks, 2 red bell peppers, 1/2 small red onion, 4 cups parsley and 2 limes.

Afternoon snack juice for 2 people – Citrus Inspired Green Juice: 16 kale leaves, 16 Swiss chard leaves, 2 cucumbers and 12 clementines.

Pre-dinner juice for 2 people – Sunset Blend Juice: 2 large sweet potatoes, 2 carrots, 2 red bell peppers, 4 red beets, 4 apples and 2 oranges.

Ways I enhanced my cleanse:

Coffee Enemas

– light 30 minute daily walk in the sun

Dry Body Brushing
– dry body brush before showering

Daily Lemon Water
– freshly squeezed lemon water first thing in the morning
